benefit tourists
but surely british ppl should be being trained to fill the skills shortage not relying on immigrants to fill theses positions , or are am i being too simplistic in my views

And that I'm afraid is it in a nutshell.
Once these new countries join the EU we have to allow them free access to jobs here and vice versa.
As far as training people in this country already, some people just don't want to work and others are better off on benefits.

Our teenagers would rather go to University/College with their devalued A levels and do a degree in sociology than learn a trade.

fair point , but if the jobs paid a decent wage then ppl would , it must seem like they are millionaires when they come over here

I agree - BUT - Are there any real trades any more. You cant learn a trade and have it as a job for life any more !

true there arent many real apprenticeships about many more , when i did mine it was 5 years long

If I was to re-train I would become a plumber, sparks or chippie, and then go self employed.
