Passports ..

The wife is off to Cannes next month ... working ... but the passport she has runs out in June. We are under the impression that she needs to renew it before she goes as there is supposed to be 6 months clear on the passport.

Is this true ?

Re: Passports ..

Yes you need 6 months.
Drag her off to get her photo done then head to the post office and pay for the guarenteed 2 week turn around service

Re: Passports ..

I posted all our family's direct to the passport office without paying for any special turnaround (all first time applications as well) and still got them inside two weeks.

Or if you're really desparate, you can go to your (probably not so !) local passport office and get it done the same day - this is about £70 aswell, but not available for first time applications..

Re: Passports ..

This might help too.

I can't see any mention of passport validity period though.

I remember doing that several times as a child. It always took hours and there were usually lots of other people sitting there waiting for the same thing. I think a bit more organisation from my parents would have helped back then
