consent
a sex therapist and attorney have teamed up, to create a 'sexual consent' form in which both parties sign 'sex contracts'
it is thought that athletes, celebs, or even the general public, could benefit from this, and counter rape allegations.
the paper itself is a form (which requires a signiture from both parties) that states, both participants are willing to engage in acts of a sexual nature.
the contracts, have already been successful in 4 of the therapists clients

i think this is a good idea, there are people out there who set out to trap people in to having sex with them, and then crying rape for various reasons

Re: consent
I don't sleep around, so I have no use for this. In addition, I find it extermely distateful and saddening that something like this is necessary. If you can't trust your partner with your life, you have no business sleeping with him or her. IMHO.

I agree with this... but i know that a lot of people don't!
anyhow, i think sex should be spontaneous, cos in my exerience it is better that way... kind of spoils the mood if you say "oh hang on can you just sign here first"!!

i dont think this is really aimed at partners, but its aimed at people who like to sleep around, and some get in to situations where allegations of inproper conduct against celebrites and along those lines, come in to the spotlight, this should help prevent some incidents such as those, although there is no legal guarantee,as it infringes on the right to back out of sex at anytime under law,the paper itself has proved sucessful.

Re: consent
Footballers often sleep with girls who consent at the time, then call rape the next day.
When it is found out that they aren't telling the truth it does damage to genuine cases of rape.
Something like this could prevent such things happening (assuming the football player knows how to write his signature) :P

Re: consent
If one party refused to comply with the signing of said contract, would the second party perform the aforementioned act anyway?

The real problem is that the first you might know about it is when the police come around to have a few words....
How are you to know if they would try that or not. I admit that it is substantually less likely with a long term partner but it can still happen.

i think some of you have misunderstood the reasoning for this contract.......
the contract is for people who are under the spotlight of the public eye, anyone with a huge amount of money or fame, will come under scrutiny if allegations are put forward of rape or misconduct, there are people out there who will take advantage of a persons position and cry rape, its designed to stop that, its not something to panic about its not for everyone.

no, both would have to sign in order for the contract to be valid.

Wonders if the managers and agents get their normal 10% of any contracts?

Re: consent
The best way to to avoid allegations of rape IMO is to KEEP YER LEGS CLOSED! (that goes for both parties btw!)
