Re: new labour by the balls ...
well, self evidently the piece is biased (which is ok by the way), thats not my concern. the total % of foreign donations to the labour party is miniscule in relation to it's total revenue. incidentally, the 'quanity' of donation is not as important as the industry it comes from. you have to consider the relationship between the donators themselves and the trade that donator brings to the uk.
as for the information being lies, if it's unsubstantiated then it's neither the truth nor a lie, until it IS qualified. i assume the guy who made it did a little research before creating the animation.
1 million jobs in the uk depend on trade with the usa, as you probably well know, a good portion of that trade is in the defense sector and it's going the get bigger, with the apache, f-22 contract for the new aircraft carriers etc, theres even talk of the uk using the us anti-missile technology.
my concern is that KEY british industrys are becoming overly dependant on trade with the usa which can be used as leverage to affect our relationship with, namely, the french and germans, influencing our decision to enter the eurodollar.
as for oil politics ... the black stuff is getting harder to find, demand for it is going up, the politics behind it are no doubt incredibly aggresive and therefore, open to conspiracy, especially when you consider the unenforceable nature of 'international law'.
there is no such thing as a friend in international politics, just nations with common interests, not 'values'.
