A most touching story
http://xtremepaintballcanada.com/van...opic=1544&st=0
Please don't read this if you don't want to be upset. Its about a young boy who isn't well and a gesture by a guy called Sierra. I've only read a few pages myself but was unable to hold back the tears. Infact I was blubbering during the first post.
It really is a touching story, but as I say please don't read it if you don't want to be upset. Say a prayer for the little guy who isn't well though.

Re: A most touching gesture
It's good to know that there are some decent human beings still roaming the earth, restores my faith in them somewhat.

Re: A most touching gesture
Just finished the 41 pages. It really is a heart wrenching story and its one of those rare moments in life where something really touches you and makes you want to become a better person. You can just feel the goodness of people in that thread and although it is deeply saddening it does fill you with a sense of joy that there are people in this world who are so kind and giving.

Didn't post it here last night but think this might infact be fake. Just too many things don't make sense to me

Re: A most touching gesture
I'd put money on it being a hoax.
"...With just a phone call the technician made, we got upgraded from dial-up to broadband prepaid for one year. He played a game with him before he left. He requested to keep the identities of everyone involved."
that's the bit that gives it away - the wording and style of a hoax.

I think the answer is to take the message without worrying to much about the detail. Random acts of kindness can and do take place and the world is a better place for that.
If people want a better example then just look at the young girl who gave away her lucky win to the children she was working with. A shining example that we could all learn from I'm sure and no hint of ulterior motives other than love for the children involved.

Fair point Paul.
In fact it's situations like this that illustrate the damage the hoaxers do by making people doubt the many true acts of kindness and generosity that are then muddied by existance of the hoax ones.

Re: A most touching gesture
I do not believe it is a hoax. It is a very touching story and it gives me hope.

http://ichuddersfield.icnetwork.co.u...name_page.html
there are significant elements to that story that have turned out to be untrue.
