Co-op Divi

Quote:
The £8bn Co-operative Group will rebrand its chain of more than 3,000 food, funeral, insurance, pharmacy and bank outlets as The co-operative.
Customers who pay £1 for membership will collect points from buying various co-operative goods and services.
The profit-share scheme marks a partial return to the "divi" scheme of the 70s.
It brings back some memories using this back in the 70's, I can still remember my mum's old divi number, but I am not a great fan of the co-op food produce, so I guess I will stick with Sainsburys

Re: Co-op Divi

I use to love to stick the stamps in the book as a kid.
I remember some one we knew got the Co-op to do her husbands funeral so that she could have the "divi" on it lol

Re: Co-op Divi

We have a Co-Op Dividend Card, as most of the local shops in the villages around here are Co-Ops (as well as our nearest supermarket). When we got it I think we thought it was going to be like having a Tesco clubcard or something, but then all this stuff came back in the post saying we'd joined the Co-Op and telling us about local projects they're involved with and how we can have our say.

We were a bit surprised, but I quite like the idea of being a member. Especially if we're going to get paid.

Re: Co-op Divi

it's quite a good way to get kids involved more in their locality - parents get stamps (or whatever it's going to be now) for shopping, and the co-op supports local activities... and like Jules said - half the fun was sticking the stamps in the books!
