parenting classes for 14-16 year olds

so what do you all think, are we in danger of accelerating the growth of our children to impact their 'teenager' upbring or teaching kids on how to bring up the inevitable child in later stages of their lives is a good thing....

for me i think this is a good move, teaching them (especially men/boys ) how to treat and discipline their child is good, also the nappy changing idea is most welcomed.

Good idea! After realising what it takes to look after a baby, I'm sure many teenagers would take contraception more seriously...

I think its a good idea... Most of them will have kids at various ages... At 16 they are eligible to leave, so 14-16 makes the most sense.

School may teach you how to do quadratic equations or draw pictures, but it never used to teach actually useful things about living life. How to budget... About taxes... Preparing for jobs... How to deal with situations like getting compensation.. etc., and yes... basic child care. I know schools now do subjects like General Studies, but I found it to be useless. I would hope since I left school the subject matter has become more relevent to being a sucessful adult.

You know I taught child care and associated subjects(textiles for children or how to make clothes and toys for kids) over 30 years ago at the beginning of my teaching career....
