it 'pays' to be honest!
Charles Moore, 59, had been searching through garbage to find bottles that were 'returnable' but he found more than he bargained for, $21,000 in bonds, he handed them in to a homless shelter who managed to track down the owner of the bonds.
he was given $100 by the son of the owner of the bonds, but it didnt stop there, word reached the rest of michigan and other states about what the homeless man did...

One man sent him eight trash bags full of returnable bottles and a bowl of coins. Three others gave a combined $2,500, and two businessmen from Troy donated $1,200, a shopping spree and a lead on a job.

Re: it 'pays' to be honest!
I found £2000 in used notes in a car i was repairing once and handed it in.
When the owner came to pick it up, he said he had forgotten it was there!
It was involved in a police chase and the money was hidden under a floor mat.
Ironic that the car thieves didn`t know it was under their feet!
Still, I got a £100 tip off of the bloke.
