Lack of sleep saps men's brain power
From New Scientist ( http://www.newscientist.com/article/...mg19125615.000):
Quote:
|
IF YOU have ever thought you were stupid to sleep with someone, consider this. Sharing your bed could actually make you stupid if you are a man - at least temporarily.
|
At last - an excuse I can live with!

Re: Lack of sleep saps men's brain power
I can't share a bed - just can't sleep. I tend to nap in the chair until he's gone, then return to bed for the rest of the day. Assuming there's a he to go - which more often than not, there isn't

Re: Lack of sleep saps men's brain power
Sharing a bed may make a man stupid but he still retains the instinct to pinch the quilt and hog most of the bed not matter how much of a deep sleep he's in

Is that an excuss for your snoring mate ?
Mum says dad used to play football in bed. Apparently he kicked the radiator and broke his toe once.

Re: Lack of sleep saps men's brain power
But is this just like a mans cold really being pneumonia or a backache being a torn muscle? Sorry for the raging sterotypes but it does support my argument and I'm prepared to accept that women do the same thing - but I'll need proof .
Afterall this study is about how the participants perceived the quality of their sleep as well as the various body readings taken during the sleep period. My fella insists it takes him ages to fall asleep when really he's asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow, personal perception is a powerful thing.
And is this just an excuse to give certain men carte blanche over all the rubbish mistakes they make? The ultimate 'get out of jail free card', all sentences/arguments would start with 'I'm sorry darling but I didn't sleep so that why I didn't ......'
