We love each other, we hate each other, we cry and we laugh.

We all take a journey through life that has its ups and has its downs. But isn't that why life is so fasinating? Where do any of us go from here? We dont know! We wake in the morning and have no idea what the future holds for us.

Life can feel hard when we are on a low but isn't the exciting part waiting for the high?

Anyway I think i've waffled into other areas but I love life and although I have my sad moments I have some awesome moments too.

As for your question Sarah, I see your friends point, but most of all when we settle that we are all human dispite our language and skin color, we are all funadmentally human we shall make a move, when we don't think about the past too much, we hold too much bitter taste to other countries because of the past.

When we can all sit down and talk about a world peace it will be better, and a part of it is not only forgetting about past rules and words from religions and old texts, but also memories of what other countires in mistake have made upon us and others.

That is my point Sarah if I have not made it clearly I do apologise. There is alot of bitter taste between the nations, and I think once that is settled then peace may come down on them all.

Right now there is too much bitterness to even remotely think about it, with various wars and threatening of Nuclear testing daily news it's saddening to think we define ourselves an intelligent species.

I think the 'religion starts war' arguement is flawed. I do not think it does. I just think it is used as a excuse, and it gets the blame but wars are always about people, land and power.

World Peace, if it ever happens, will not come by reducing differences between cultures. This itself will cause more conflict as we try to tell people to adapt to a common mould. You can look at current topics on this forum to get a idea of how touchy a subject this is. World Peace will come by embracing and accepting other cultures and religions (within reason) but at the same time reducing the importance of land. The world is getting smaller, the day we can travel and get homes and jobs anywhere regardless of faith, colour, nationality and gender will be the day we get world peace

Right on the point there, but religion does have a standing, some countries hold their beliefs so close that they are unwilling to accomondate other people living in their borders who follow another belief and sadly fighting occures because of this.

Not all of it is for OIL or power.

Why? imagine a world where you can walk through another country without any bias aimed towards you being English,Spanish etc? the prospect for jobs would be huge, you could travel easier if countries co-operated for travelling instead of this complex chain of command just to travel abroad right now.

Work could be completed on things we could only think about now, bridges to cross distances over oceans etc, all by countries working together, a world peace could bring some amazing things to this world apart from the end of war.

World Peace - if ever possible is a long long way off.

First lets work on inner peace - peace with your own body and your own mind.
Then lets work on peace with our neighbours.
Then lets try and work on peace within our towns and cities.
Then once we have a country at peace with each other can we start to look at peace with others.

As you can probably see, it aint going to be anytime soon...

Not all of it is for OIL or power.

If you look at a lot of previous wars that were claimed to be in the name of religion you can see another reason behind it. I think religion is used by people to either motivate or explain way their actions.

You can look at the middle east for examples of how religion is involked over nothing more than simply disputes over land.
