Rub on treatment for Impotency
BBC
Quote:
A rub-on gel could be the first over-the-counter treatment for impotency, a company has announced.
It is being developed by Futura Medical in collaboration with pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline.
The treatment, called MED2002, is expected to go into clinical trials at the end of 2006.
But the Sexual Dysfunction Association said it is important to await the outcome of these trials to see how effective the product really is.

I have to repeat the story now someone has mentioned Deep Heat.
The ex-gf's father used to suffer with piles, he went in the bathroom one night when they were playing up to put on his pile cream. He didn't put the light on because he didn't want to wake everyone up, he put on Deep Heat by mistake.
The screams woke the whole house up, by the time they were out of bed he was in the bath with the cold water tap running.

I guess it depends on who's rubbing it in as to whether it works!
Seriously though, I always thought that impotence was in the brain...and no jokes from the girls please about where we keep our brains

I was told once by someone who suffered from this is that as you get older, it is possible that some of the blood vessels at the base of the penis close, hence your brain wants to but the blood can't get through and that is where viagra (which can be dangerous for some people) steps in, or this new proposal as in the OP.
I am sure that these facts are basically correct, I am sure Salu will be along at some point to either add or correct my info.

That's not a bad synopsis but that's just one cause and there are several more. It's not fully understood either. There is a complex relationship between the physical and emotion aspects of erectile dysfunction.
Researching it seems to be a slow upward climb (pun intended).
