Re: Teenagers dead in double shooting

What the hell went wrong...

It's easy to acquire a shotgun though if you know someone who owns one, say a family member with a gun lisence who happened to leave it there?

It's terrible, but a sad sign of our times comes from the following:

"Incidents like this are rare in Salford."
And yet:

the second double gun killing in Salford this year.

I guess they count twice this year as rare compared to other parts of Manchester.

I can't think of a single life lost by guns during my lifetime in my town, apart from an incident where a policeman was seriously injured by a shotgun when attending a domestic dispute many years ago.

I can think of five murders here in my lifetime, two were a domestic and the other three were saturday night fisty cuffs. I think the one domestic was a guy coming out of prison catching his wife in bed with his brother, I think he slashed him to death with a stanley knife.

I'm glad gun crime is non-existent here.

Salford's one of the hotspots for gun crime in Greater Manchester - it's non-existant here.
