The money would be better spent funding a shift to biodiesel or gasohol for commercial vehicles, rather than this.

Surely no-one is suggesting the government is obsessed with headline grabbing, short term measures which are doomed to failure and will be quietly forgotten in a few months time.

this project utter rubbish - the money would be better spent on bio yogurt conversions as suggested above. the drivers would have more efficient systems due to intake of good bacteria.

I'd take a biofuel car - if you could fill it. The new SAAB bio fuel is 150 bhp on petrol and 180 bhp on bio. Thats the kind of perfomance increase I like.

Why don't the government spend £1,000 coverting them to run on bio-diesel or old cooking oil.
