A group of Liberal Democrats has launched a campaign to make the party "more representative" of the UK's ethnic diversity. MP Jo Swinson said the Lib Dems, whose 62 MPs are all white, "urgently" needed to draw "on a wider pool of talent". (BBC NEWS)
Im all for change in policy to allow ethnic minorities greater representation in the Lib Dems (or any party), but its worrying that they want to do it so "urgently" - they have to grant positions on talent, not because they quickly need someone to make them look favourable.
Oh for the love of God. What are they going to do now, actively select parliamentary candidates who are of an ethnic minority? Positive discrimination is just as bad.
I think its quite funny that the Lib Dems are all white. Which party has the most ethnic minorities? That'll be the racist, upper class, snooty, old-man's-club Tory party...
