You know why they have a yellow strip on there hats?
It stops people parking on their heads.

A Westminster Council spokesman said that while the parking attendants were correct in issuing the tickets, these were extraordinary circumstances and the fines would be waived.

They were correctly given tickets, anyone can put a sign in their car, it means nothing.

The cars did have 'marine ambulance' or 'marine medic' on the side though:

Still, I agree, the tickets were correctly given, and correctly waived once it became clear the offenders had actually been involved in the rescue attempt.

Re: Whale rescuers £300 parking fine
Traffic wardens love to stick tickets on cars, in my town centre they put a ticket on a car displaying a disabled badge for parking with one wheel just over the line, because the car in the next bay had parked badly (that car didn't get a ticket!!!)

Discussing what an eskimos favourite song is - has nothing whatsoever to do with the Rescuers receiving parking tickets.

which at the end of the day is pretty pathetic petty sad and a sick thing to administer when these people are clearly trying to save a life.
