The green paper reading date I knew about over 2 months ago and I am just a member of the public I obviously didnt know the exact date but I knew jan 2006, it was going to be sept 2005 but was delayed and I knew since october it was moved to jan. So I am sure with the bbc now been a "central government department" probably would know at least what I knew.

I wonder how gp's felt about possibly been undermined having DWP staff in their surgeries, this could be why the financial bribe was brought in to stop them protesting. Having listened to the speach now it is watered down from what blair originally wanted, the first proposal was much scarier and would have affected full time working people on the sick.

So, you think that, despite that the planning and filming was actually done long before anyone knew about any such green paper, that the BBC should then subsequently interfere with its primetime scheduling on the scant worry that some people might think they are biased?
You are barking up the wrong conspiracy tree and, as I have already said, if anything it would be far more likely that the government knew about the documentary during the production planning stage (when the BBC would have been asking for consent to film civil servants) and therefore produced a green paper in time to magically ride the free wave of publicity.

Yes I do firmly believe that, if the bbc wanted to be truly unbiased then we would be seeing a episode 2 showing the other side of the coin. The bbc even showed extracts of the program on their primetime news bulletin, it was heavily capitilised on. The bbc got their payment now in the form of a above inflation rise so all square with the government.

When was the filming supposedbly done? and if was so long ago why the long delay befire it aired? if recently why only bring this up now when people have been skiving of work for decades?
