Re: Whale swims up Thames

A special 'opportunist of the month' gong for the PROs at Thames Water:

Quote:
A Thames Water spokesman told Sky News the water quality of the Thames had improved greatly in recent years.
"One of the key reasons why water bills have risen in recent years is to pay for massive improvements in sewage treatment works," he said.

Re: Whale swims up Thames

Pilot Whales are usually social animals & swim in groups, so it is quite unusual to see a solitary one. It was probably feeding on Herring in the Thames Estuary & got disorientated.

I hope they can get it turned round, so it can get back to the open sea.

My thoughts exactly - the fact that it appears to be in distress with it keep beaching itself a few times.
