Funny car theft story

The theft of a neighbours car living next door but one to my parents was not funny, but the circumstances surrounding it being found by the police and then stolen again was.

The car was stolen before christmas, the owners received a call from the police last week to say they had recovered it and there wasn't too much damage. The neighbours informed the insurance company and made their way the following day to the police compound.

They were unfortunately not able to see their car, as it had been stolen from the police compound by some individuals who reside locally in houses with wheels on the previous night. The neighbours say there is CCTV evidence and a witness from one of the houses opposite, although it looks like the police are not going to persue the villains.

The car has now appartently been discovered fully stripped.

Re: Funny car theft story

I saw a similar thing on TV where the police didn't go on that type of land over their safety fears.
WTF the police should go there mob handed and search for the cars parts?
