Re: End of Konica / Minolta cameras

That's a shame, I had a quick play with a Dynax 7D recently and it was an excellent camera

Re: End of Konica / Minolta cameras

Yes, I'm gutted I won't have the option to choose a Minolta when my current one grows old and dies. My Dimage is a very nice piece of kit.

Re: End of Konica / Minolta cameras

Minolta cameras died ages ago when they were took over and stopped producing decent equipment. I dont think they have ever produced a good digi camera. We have a sony digi and a nikon and if i was sony i wouldnt touch the minolta name now.

I wont part with my 7000 real SLR now tho, thats an awsome peice of history in my hands.

I almost went for a minolta Dimage10 and I got the chance to test it and directly compare it against a nikon 3700 which eat the minolta for breakfast on the results, then again it takes a good 5MP to beat a nikon 3MP because most nikons have twice the dpi over all other brands.

Re: End of Konica / Minolta cameras

well.. with the fast growing of mobile phones, like sharp 903 with 3.2 mp camera, SE w800i and Nokia N90 with 2.0 mp camera, not long till phones taking over cameras

even the professionals are using camera phones now, www.seenew.com has hosted some pics by profs using Nokia N90 (i have one and it is great, even good enough for printing)
