Tony Banks RIP.
Just read on the BBC ( http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk_politics/4591230.stm) that former MP Tony Banks has had a stroke and is seriously ill. Apparently, he is unlikely to recover.
Regardless of whether I agree with his beliefs, he has always seemed worthy of respect (unlike a lot of politicians), and always been entertaining to watch.
I am very sorry to hear this, and would like to send my best wishes to his family and friends.

Yes - I've seen a quote from him today where he said he didn't eat anything with relatives or a face!
It's looking a bit worse for him now - according to the BBC he's being moved to a hospice:

Even vegetarians can have an unhealthy lifestyle.However he did come across as having a spare frame and did seem healthy.Maybe it's not what you eat but your genetic disposition to certain illnesses.
Leonard Rossiter was a fit,non smoker,who ran regularly and ate sensibly.He still suffered a massive heart attack that cut short his life.

Apparently Tony Banks said when he retired from politics that he wanted to go early as he seemed to be getting angrier and more passionate in the things he believed in - and didn't want to die in the Commons of a heart attack during one of his rants!
As for the vegetarianism bit, a veggie I know quite well has horrendously high cholesterol and follows a beter diet than anyone I know - and is now looking at going on statins shortly as it certainly isn't diet related.
When you gotta go, you gotta go, it seems.
