Re: Public Service Announcements
Ah, Charley Says
You can even get them on DVD - http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/...044436-0362012
I still find it funny that the Green Cross Code man went on to become Darth Vader.

Re: Public Service Announcements
I remember when "Whose Line is it Anyway" did a series of games called "Hey, you down there!" which wonderfully spoofed these sorts of announcements!

Re: Public Service Announcements
Radio Active did a serious of spoofs which they called 'Insultingly Obvious Public Information Announcements'. Along the lines of 'don't pour boiling water over children' and 'if you feel tired on the motorway don't change into your pyjamas and put a pillow against the window'.

As a side note, he actually complained when his voice was dubbed for Darth Vader.
"Luke, Oi Ahhm your Farrrtheerr"
