12 year old accused of rape.

I am at a loss for words, that eight year old will suffer the mental scars of this for the rest of his life. What is going through a 12 year olds mind to do some thing like this! Speechless

As bad as this is, I find myself wondering how many of these things are 'brushed under the carpet' Because, knowing this country the way I do, I don't think this is a unique case by any means.

True. I know the examples I'm about to give are different assaults, but Jamie Bulgers killers, and the girl that tried to hang that young boy a little while ago - all just kids.... Sick kids mind, but still kids. Scary stuff.

Scary more because of the fact that these days it seems that there is a distinct issue of failling by some parents to bring up their children in a way that they are well balanced, positive members of the community.
How many parents allow their children to go out without knowing where they are going or what they are doing or who they will be with? How many parents actually don't care what their kids are getting up to and plead ignorance when the Police appear at their doors?
How many parents ignore the needs of their children, refuse to spend time with them or even attempt to communicate with them?
We seem to be suffering with a certain percentage of the population who have no interest in raising their children properly and just leave it up to others to try and bring their wayward kids under control again

This is awful news. These kind of subjects shouldnt even be anywhere near children, let alone them knowing about them. They are only kids and are in no way ready to get into sexual practises.
There is certainly something lacking for children to be moving away from normal habits and getting into things way out of their age range.
I think parents need to help their children even more at this time in the world as there is so much bad stuff going on in the world, parents need to help kids understand it and establish what is right and wrong from these news stories we hear about so often.

I just keep thinking that the boy is a paedophile in the making.

And chances are, he'll be given a brand new life at public expense despite proving quite clearly that the public are not safe from him.
