Shafilea parents guilty
We should all weep for this young woman and what her parents did to her.

It should get routed out with each passing generation that integrates into our culture. Unfortunately that seems to create tension with the previous generation and occasionally utterly incomprehensible actions from that generation.

How anyone could kill their child in circumstances like these is beyond me... I hope there is widespread condemnation of this barbaric act, especially from within the community involved. It's an utter disgrace!

The sad thing is that this kind of so called honour killing will continue to happen and in the vast majority of cases no one will ever know that it happened and they will get away with it, as for the next generation they will just carry one this tradition regardless of where they live.

That`s very true. It happens regularly in Pakistan & its part of their culture (illegal but the law takes little notice), lets hope this sends a message out to all people who want to pursue historic barbaric ways. No tradition is worth a life. To kill a child in this way, & for those reasons, I would execute both parents.
