The Spice Girls have been rehearsing for the Closing Ceremony at the London 2012 Olympics, with Geri Halliwell telling her bandmates how it should be done.
The band performed on top of five black cabs during the run-through for Sunday’s show.

Eric Idle was also photographed rehearsing and is expected to lead the crowds in a mass singalong of Always Look On The Bright Side of Life.

There is also a rumour that Madness and the Who will be performing..and I've heard that Coldplay and Muse will be there.
Let us hope for Russ's sake that Adele won't be..
I suspect that most is conjecture and we will find out on Sunday.

AWESOME!!!

Coldplay are doing a tour in America, they won't be there. Hopefully the Eric Idle thing is true though!

If they end it with Always Look On The Bright Side of Life I can die a happy man (hopefully still a long time from now ).

Dear Mr. Beeb.
We understand that, with limited number of channels and red button options available on Freeview, you have to make some choices that may not be to everyone's liking. However, I'm sure that even the most ardent football fans will agree that you should not be showing a repeat of the football gold medal match when there are live gold medal matches (such as men's hockey) that you have chosen to ignore.
Thanks,
Mr. F.

Quality diving final with Tom Daley securing the Bronze.
This guy deserves it as he has worked so hard for it and he seems a great guy too.

No. The rules are strict. Kissing your son is allowed at all times, provided it's semi-discrete, and not on tv. Attending jury sports is a distinct no-no. Kissing your son on live tv at a jury sports event that's televised the world over is not acceptable. Period.

Re: The London 2012 Olympics: Current affairs discussion
A viewpoint we don't often see but often hear as the athletes are doing what they do is the physical reactions of the commentators
