More home office blunders: wasted payment of £427,000 on unusuable rubber bullets

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/poli...r-bullets.html

How worse can it get for terresa may department.

This on the back g4s fiasco.

Fact telegraph report they could avoided liability is even worse.

Combined the department actually made £806,000 needlessly fruitless payments. That could be £806,000 less tightening belts paid for some police officers they sacking.

It needs investigating how this department running its shop was terresa may informed the problem.

Who sanctioned the deals in the first places.

Quote:
The accounts for the year ended March 2012 do not reveal what happened to the wasted order – but a Home Office spokesman said they were most likely used for training.

The payment was part of more than £806,000 needlessly spent under the "Fruitless payment" section which also included a botched property transaction.

The section of the report describes them as "payments for which liability ought not to have been incurred or where the demand for the goods or services in question could have been cancelled in time to avoid liability".

While the person / department responsible for this purchase needs to be looked trying to tie this all back to Terresa May seems to be pushing in a bit.

If we are going to look at laying the blame all the way to the top then we should put this into perspective rather than trying to blindly blame. Teresa Mays budget is 9 Billion, so to put this into a bit of perspective this error is 0.00005% of 'her' budget.

As for the G4S I'm not sure exactly what is going on, on the radio this morning interview with the police liaison (?) said there were informed last week by G4S and the contingency plan was activated

wonder how long it will be before its the sick or unemployed fault because they are most likely to riot and need to have rubber bullets fired at them

How ridiculous.
"I'll have £427,000.00 pounds worth please"

maybe they'll make them legal to use in the UK. they can use them on the rioting unemployed.

or sell them back for £5

not blaming her just wondered if she was aware who authorised the deals.

Apparantly G4S again not had staff turn up for some cycling place now.
