Whooping Cough in comeback
Whooping cough is coming back, with 5 babies dead already from it.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/health/ar...-20-years.html
Apparently 88% of all children in UK have had the vaccine for it, but it wears off with age so adults are not protected. There is a symptom list in the article for those who are worried.

Re: Whooping Cough in comeback
And there are reports that doctors do not recognise the symptoms as it is rare these days.
This and TB reappearance are warning signs to get innoculation going 100% again. NO jabs, NO creche or school.

Re: Whooping Cough in comeback
Im afraid there are a few of the old conditions making a comeback and I don't think the spitting helps, can remember when I was a lad (many years ago) there were no spitting signs posted everywhere

Strange it's the Daily Mail reporting this with their normally anti-vaccination stance

No excuses for not giving kids these jabs. Unlike the MMR issues, real or imaginary, these innoculations are risk free. (As much as anything is these days)

Re: Whooping Cough in comeback
I wonder what 12% of babies are not vaccinated? Is it a racial group? Or a social group? Or just random?

Re: Whooping Cough in comeback
My supervisor at work had to take 3 months off work as he got Whooping cough last year. Very unpleasant indeed and to make matters worse he works in a cleanroom, luckily no one else came down with it.

Nope, for the reasons given in my links & if they had been, the vaccination may well have worn off by now anyway.....
