Airlines include debit card charges in headline price

Twelve airlines, including Easyjet and Ryanair, have agreed to include debit card charges in headline prices, rather than adding an additional surcharge at the end of the online booking process.
The move follows enforcement action by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT).
The airlines have also agreed to make any charges for credit cards clear in the early stages of booking.

About time..But what's the betting that they will soon find a way to wring more cash out of their customers?

So instead of say £200 + £10 hidden charge.
it'll just be £210 and no hidden charge.

Pretty good I'd say. Some companies like to be one step ahead of the regulators and not always in the interests of consumers.

I hate hidden charges especially with the airlines not showing them until you've almost finished the booking.

Now we need ISPs to include the phone line rental that that they mandate with their "deals" but don't show in the headline figure.
