Re: Good on her
A big well done, the hard work is keeping it off with sensible eating and a good exercise programme.

Britains fattest teenager
Quote:
A teenager thought to weigh more than 50 stone had to have part of her home dismantled because she was too big to get out of the house.A 40-strong team of doctors, paramedics, fire crews, council workers and scaffolders worked to free Georgia Davis - once known as Britain's fattest teen.

Shocking that she has been allowed to get in this state

Yup. Shocking indeed, just seen this on C4+1 News.
Quite an accolade, seriously though just how hard is it to eat less and move more?

I think it's obvious that from an early age her mother was practically force feeding her but i would have thought that as she grew older she should have had an idea that she should have been eating a little less and moving more as you say .
and i'm still trying to work out why the fire brigade where there ,i bet the H&S bods had a field day with that one .
Maybe she should receive the bill and maybe paying that will force her to eat less

Quite. Having watched the piece on C4 news, it has to be noted that she went to the USA and lost 15 Stones. Yet put it all back on when she returned to the UK.
That to me demonstrates that she only has one person to blame -- Herself.
She was then quoted as saying that she no longer wanted to be teased about her weight and get a job etc, again she only has herself to blame!
It's very simple, if you want to change something in your life, only one person can do this. Yourself. Not the local authorites and so on that the mother was trying to pin it on.
Eat less, move more.* It's hardly rocket science.
* All credit to that quote goes to Holby City btw
