amazing invention.
flash-matic first used sonic before infrared technology.
He changed peoples lives some would say for the worse it made us lazy to change tv.
just read wikki worked on radar in us during the war. worked on car radio and video disks too.

When I was at school in the late seventies/early eighties there was a TV that you could change the channel by rattling a piece of chain!

Always gets me about people who invented stuff. surely if they didn't invent it. then someone will have invented it anyway.
take the mobile phone. I'm sure someone would think we need a phone that we can carry around. I'll invent one.
take the motor vehicle too.
