Court fines system a shambles.

Almost £2bn is owed in unpaid court fines and confiscation orders, a report by a committee of MPs has revealed....

MPs said it was unacceptable that "timely and accurate" financial accounts cannot be produced by the MoJ....

Not enough fines were collected and 60% of money pursued via confiscation orders may never be recovered....

not at all surprised ,how do you make a little toe rag on the dole pay a fine .Fines only work if the person has the ability to pay

I thought that they could apply for an attachment of earnings already?

Trouble is I bet it isn't just the little toe rags who are getting away with it. I wonder how many major confiscation orders have failed for one reason of another.
