This thread is about the cruise ship disaster. It is not about taxation, economy, or Unions.

The body of a woman has been found on board the Italian cruise ship that ran aground and capsized a week ago, bringing the known death toll to 12.
The woman, who was wearing a life jacket, was found by divers on the fourth deck of the Costa Concordia.
Twenty people are still missing after the ship, with 4,200 people on board, struck a rock in shallow waters on 13 January off Tuscany's Giglio island

Re: Deaths confirmed as cruise ship runs aground off Italy
No idea how accurate this info is from the accidents wiki page but if true it's shocking as to how close the ship was to land..

Captain Schettino at first stated that the ship had been 300 metres (980 ft) from the shore (about the length of the vessel) and hit a rock which was not marked on charts. In contrast, the reef the ship struck was charted as being an area known as Le Scole, about 800 metres (2,600 ft) south of the entrance to the harbour of Giglio Porto, on the island's east coast. The initial impact was at a point 8 metres (26 ft) below water at the Scole Piccola 42°21′20″N 10°55′50″E / 42.35556°N 10.93056°E / 42.35556; 10.93056, the most seaward rock of Le Scole. There, underwater 92 to 96 metres (302 to 315 ft) away from the main island, divers were later to discover two long, curled strips of steel shorn from the ship's hull as the reef tore a 48.8-metre (160 ft) gash on her port side below the water line.

He's not the only one, the more I hear the more I'm starting to think the company wasn't completely unaware of the shenanigans going on aboard that ship.
