Re: Dole claimant takes government to court

Part of the exercise here is surely trying to re-instill the work ethic into those who've been idle on the Jeremy Kyle sofa for too long. I don't think the government is solely trying to save money though they may be.

But then you can do that without providing free labour to companies.

The girl in question was already doing volunteering so wasn't 'idle on the Jeremy Kyle sofa'

Some people are so ill informed about this working for your dole money. I blame the propaganda put out by the govenment and relayed by the media.

This bozo thinks they're doing 2 hours a week for their dole money.
it's not. it's anything up to 30 hours a week.
30 x £6.08 = £182.40 = £729.60 a month

but they only get £67.00 a week and £268.00 a month.

would that bozo accept a cut in his weekly wage of £115.40 a week to show us just how acceptable it is?
or in simple terms, would he be prepared to work for £2.23 an hour?

no the bozo wouldn't. be he expects the less fortunate than him to at the moment because he's not being told to do the same.

Whilst I've got my calculator out.
for every company that uses these people in their workforce they save £5532.00 in unpaid wages a year for each person they use.
which equates to over £8,000,000.00 in wage savings made by all the companies involved.
(based on the DWP estimate of 150,000 participants of the scam)

is it likely that the government get a cut of this saving. is it likely that the cut would actually pay for the amount that the government pays to these people in dole money?

so in effect the government and the tax payer don't actually pay a penny to these scroungers after all?

also known as cheap labour if you pay their dole money for us. because we want to buy a train.
I take it you would prefer for them to just sit on the dole then ,getting out of the work ethic and getting used to the security of living off the state .By the way your maths are rubbish you need to factor in the other payments claimants get ,rent rebate, council tax rebate ect

Quite correct ,but if the government is trying to save money that in itself is a good thing

Ok, supposing that is the objective. surely in a couple of months all the companies taking part will have took on full time placements (they would have given them a full time job) so they have to drop out of the scheme because they don't need anymore and they haven't got no room for them anyway.

who do we approach next? the councils?
will it turn into a case of we have to let the paid workforce go, and if only we had free workers to replace them then we as a business can carry on.

we'll pay their dole money?

Companies cannot participate if they have had recent redundancies ,there are limits on the number of claimants companies can have based on the amount of employees the comany has
