Iranian nuclear scientist - the most dangerous job in the world?
It certainly seems to be among the most dangerous if recent events are anything to go by.
"Attackers have killed or wounded several Iranian nuclear scientists in recent years, including blasts in late 2010 that state media also attributed to bombs placed on cars by motorcyclists."
If true is this taking state sanctioned murder to new, seemingly almost acceptable, levels?

Doing pretty much anything Israel doesn't approve of seems to be hazardous to your health.

You can see the nationalists being even more determined now to carry this on and get the nuclear capabilities they require...

Maybe, but that ship has sailed. I would say the need to worry isn't as great. They are stable, a democracy, and concerned about their welfare. I don't like the idea of a country without a properly elected government and one which shows little desire to engage with the outside world have nuclear weapons. It also doesn't inspire confidence when they come out with scary rhetoric about wiping Israel off the map or that the holocaust didn't happen.

Does that justify them shooting / blowing up / generally killing to death anyone they feel might assist Iran in getting nuclear weapons?

No. However that's the reality of the situation, Israel is concerned primarily with their own survival over morality. I quite imagine we would do the same.

They're about as much of a democracy as apartheid South Africa was and that rhetoric has been twisted so many times to suit whomevers agenda I won't trust it until I have got round to learning Iranian and translated it for myself.

Sorry - I could have sworn non-whites had no voting rights under Apartheid, whilst Israeli Arabs have voting rights.

Now, now. With all due respect apartheid is not strictly limited to voting rights and, in fairness, TheDaddy was (to my mind) using apartheid SA as a comparator from a democratic perspective - not necessarily saying that Israel was an apartheid state.
That's another discussion entirely.

and different legal, education, employment and housing rights have no place in a democracy any more? I would never have had you down as one of those that simplistically equates democracy as one vote every few years especially as a number of official sources in Israel including the high court have acknowledged the systematic discrimination and segregation going on.
