Cameron tells CBI Coalition was struggling with public finances.

Not suprising to be honest this news private sector was never going to take the slack up. Not withstanding some public sector contracts with private firms was dropped which impacts those businesses.

World western economy was already in mess they new it so they cant hide behind this excuse.

To be fair great article by Daniel Hannan think he right we panicked and by doing so we made difficult situation worse. What was paramount was to try make sure the country ticked over. The house solution just going to make things alot worse.

I have said in past its NOW time to drop the party rubbish ALL get together thrash OUT deals which not party retoric but will bring things for the good country. Have they got powers to pospone the elections if they all together then elections would not be needed. It then gives 3 parties bit time to sort it out. Have a cabinet of equal standing to make the decisions maybe 3 libs 3 lab 3 con 3 others 12 cabinet taskforce.

Good Idea in principle, but America just showed that it just does not work. They have argued for months and have got no closer in sorting out there financial deficit.

Re: Cameron tells CBI Coalition was struggling with public finances.

Both parties plans revolved around getting growth: Tories by reducing deficits and keeping interest rates low and the resulting extra money in the private sector would help jobs and Labour borrowing even more money to keep the bloated public sector and hoping growth would pay for the resulting hikes in interest rates.

With most of our major trading partners at low or zero growth there's no way we can buck the trend no matter who's in government. It's just going to be a slog for the next few years.
