Police Arrest 57 EDL Supporters In London
So the EDL numpties are being arrested in London excellent news, Now normally where ever the EDL numpties are the UAF numpties are close by as well ?
Quote:
Police have arrested 57 English Defence League supporters in London in order to "prevent a breach of the peace".
The group was held outside the Red Lion pub in Westminster, Scotland Yard said.
The arrests came around two hours after wreaths were laid at the Cenotaph to commemorate fallen servicemen, and millions of Britons held a two-minute silence
to remember the nation's war dead.

Re: Police Arrest 57 EDL Supporters In London
UAF weren't there as far as we can tell. They usually only turn up when there is a anti-Muslim march and this doesn't seem to have been that. They probably didn't expect problems from EDL on Armistice Day.
According to The Guardian their intended target were the protesters at St Pauls. Quite why the EDL would have a problem with the Occupy movement isn't clearly explained. Sounds like they have more in common with the Islamic regimes they profess to oppose than they thought.

I would have thought this colder weather would have deterred a few..Not encourage them..Maybe they thought a ruck would warm them up..

Huffington Post (who probably got it from The Guardian) as well while PA reports 57. Seems like a mistake from The Guardian.
EDIT: PA now saying 156. http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/...e50aab69933612

Re: Police Arrest 57 EDL Supporters In London
Hmm, so earlier this week we had EDL supporters scaling the FIFA head quarters in protest against England not being allowed to have poppies embroidered on their shirts, and now we have them staging a protest on Armistice Day?
Full marks for consistency...

l am not a fan of UKIP Alan but they are not a extremist party and they have every right to march if they want to.

As long as they don't ban all and any protest.

Re: Police Arrest 57 EDL Supporters In London
I don't really have a problem with the EDL protesting but they should do so in liaison with the police and in the morning/early afternoon in order to avoid them all being drunk before it kicks off. They also need to weed out those looking for violence.
