One dead as lorry falls off bridge on to M56 motorway in Cheshire

Rescue teams said it was an "absolute miracle" that more people were not killed when a lorry plunged from a bridge onto a motorway today.
The HGV driver died after his vehicle fell from a bridge on to the busy M56 in Cheshire just before 3.30pm.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident although two passing motorists were treated for shock.
The lorry, which was laden with household goods, tumbled onto the west-bound carriageway at junction 11, near Preston Brook, Warrington.

Shocking this, happened right near where I live. Some of the B&M Bargains trailers that come out of Manor Park and B&Q ones from Whitehouse are VERY tall and it makes you wonder just how safe they actually are particularly if they're loaded to the top.

One sharp manouevre to avoid something and there has to be a chance of a tip-over. Unfortunately in this case it happened to be on an over-bridge which doesn't have particularly high barriers. As the report says it's a miracle that nobody else was killed at that hour.
