U-turn?

Or possibly the Government ensuring a possible loophole is closed before the bill is passed rather than playing catchup once its on the statute books.

Lets sell some more shall we!
Genesis had a very aptly named album that could be for our Governments past and present. " Selling England By The Pound "

That won't happen look at Cadburys, Kraft said "We won't close the UK site". But guess what, they transferred it all to China, so bye bye Cadburys, no more cash from me now.

Every company that has gone from public or UK company hands to outside UK or private company hands has resulted in massive job losses or crap / overpriced service.

Look at the trains.

I go along with job losses in many cases, largely because the government owned ones were so heavily overweight with staff and run so poorly, I disagree with crap or overpriced service.

We aren't somehow superior to every other country in the world, our government most certainly doesn't run things better than any private company. There are rather a lot of companies that aren't British and are quite capable of running things reasonably and providing reasonable services at reasonable prices.

I would look at the trains, the worst performing part of the whole affair is the part still in government ownership, Network Rail.

Re: On with her head! Cable U-turn

questions have to be asked as to why whenever state assets are sold that the buyers are always foreign.
