Looking at the second link that captain shouldn't be in charge of a model boat in a duck pond, he's broadside on to the storm, he should have turned the ship so it faced the storm bow on. There wouldn't have been a 20+ degree list at each wave then.

I did until I read about the injuries.
Some people are saying it'd make them worried about going on cruise ships, to me it's the opposite, those things look unsinkable. From what I've read most ships have movable objects bolted or strapped down, especially in the hold.

Boats don't always do what they are told. I'm not suggesting that their unpredictable behaviour has anything to do with them always being referred to as she... but.
