Re: Muslim woman wearing veil 'refused bus ride' in London
I have a really novel idea. Why don't we just have a repressive fascist police run state that way we can ban everything from alcohol ,to sex,to children, dogs, cats, cars, the elderly, fat people.thin people, short people, clever people, all other races, all religions and public transport.
If there is anything I've missed just add it to the list.

Re: Muslim woman wearing veil 'refused bus ride' in London
OK, Im starting to see a pattern here. Here are some threads started by Gary/Malc/Nick, I cant be bothered to look at them all, heres a sample
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...ches-part.html
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...muslim-mp.html
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...alth-risk.html (muslim doctors)
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...ew-mosque.html
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...-300-dead.html
http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/20...-in-burka.html
Why dont you just come out with what bothers you about Islam/Muslims instead of pussy footing around and making comments without actually including what your view is

Dont get me wrong, I know you post on various items but you do seem to have thing for muslim threads, that was probably about 5 related to muslims of the last 30 threads you have started . Dont take it personally, you just never seem to post your actual view. I was joking about the Nick thing and maybe thats a bit out of order, Im just trying to bait you in to saying what you really think instead of the cryptic one liners. With you studying psychology and writing a book on it Im sure you understand me trying to understand where you are coming from

Re: Muslim woman wearing veil 'refused bus ride' in London
I agree, but only on places such as a bus, in public buildings etc walking down the street I have no problem, such a fuss wouldnt be made of someone dressed in a Mr Blobby costume walking down the high street so why a burka

no perhaps we can have Britain with our rules for our safety. Where ethnic minorities are free to practice their religion but live by our rules placed for the safety of our nation
If they want to cover their faces then let them stay at home and cover their faces
I seriously hope but seriously doubt that a law with ever be passed against the Hijab

I've always wondered with this and it may sound daft but would i be free to walk down the street with a balaclava on?

Re: Muslim woman wearing veil 'refused bus ride' in London
It always makes me laugh when women get on the bus here and show a bus pass whilst wearing a burka, makes the whole point of having a photo on it pretty redundant.
There isn't a cat in hells chance I could use a bus pass on a bus whilst covering my face.

I pity the poor buggers who have to look at the picture of me on my bus pass

You could get away with it if you wore burkha.
I think you've hit on a money saving scheme here. All you need is one bus pass for the whole family so long as you all dressed in Burkhas. Show the pass, pass it back.
There may be one snag. If it caught on you may not end up with the same family.

I think we already have that zing. What I'm against is knowing where the line is already drawn and those who want to push that line towards a fascist state.Ban one thing and then they want to ban something else and so on..
Frankly I'm just bored with the constant Muslim/religion bashing and would love a really different topic of conversation.
