such a sad story what drives these people to kill young innocent lives?

I expect that the attacker will be shown to have some sort of mental instability that should have been treated but there was no where for them to be placed or that they were deemed to be 'safe' to release into the community.

You are safe. Random incidents like this are not the norm they are just tragic, isolated, incidents. The chances of this happening to you are very remote, as a whole you probably are 'safe'.

Probably right Maggy and if he'd been treated apropriately things like this wouldn't happen - I'm sure we'll find this out soon also
