Re: G20 Protests

I wouldn't take the jury's decision as much of a guide as to whether manslaughter charges may be brought - see Jean Charles de Menezes for further details.

The "unlawful killing" verdict is decided on the balance of probabilities not beyond reasonable doubt. It could influence more any claim for compensation or civil proceedings.

Re: G20 Protests

The "balance of probabilities" is more than enough grounds for a prosecution. Others have been hauled into court for less.

Why not address the question?

but at the end of the day, haterz gonna hate...

Which question? The one where you refer to an unfortunate innocent man, being unlawfully killed by a police officer, as a, "drunken tit 'bought it' after being an obstreperous idiot?" With such opinions, can you not see why your ridiculous whining is ignored?

Yes. I would.

You know the question that answers.

A police officer is to be charged with manslaughter over the death of newspaper seller Ian Tomlinson during the 2009 G20 protests.

The Director of Public Prosecutions, Keir Starmer, said there was now a "realistic prospect" of convicting Pc Simon Harwood.

Re: G20 Protests

That's bad news for some, and good news for the rest.
