Ahhh but that would involve taking the joint out of their mouths long enough to engage their brains.

Thus is peace and liberty and freedom maintained. Don't believe it. Ask yourself whether the police are protecting you, the citizen, or the *****s who screwed the world up in the first place and gave you the bill

It doesnt really make any difference, everyone deserves to be protected from violence and intimidation

Re: G20 Protests
If there is any violence at these protests it sin't going to be started by people that care one bit about the agenda of the G20. It will be started by the groups of thugs that run around hijacking any protest for the chance to kick off some trouble.

Re: G20 Protests
Who pays for the police? I am a member of various ex servicemans associations & if we have a orderly parade we have to pay for the police. If we said we were protesting about something would we get the police for free?

Security is tight around Stansted, cops going through the scrub land with a fine tooth comb, ANPR vehicles everywhere I even saw a kent police car.

Yeah some of the Police bloggers are pretty pessimistic about things.

In London, faced with a proper threat from really dangerous violent nutters, we are deprived of (being allowed to use) the basics that every other two-bit nation on earth has in these situations: CS Gas Grenades and Baton Guns.
