The Conservatives said the details of the "golden goodbye" would anger voters in the UK.
|
Is that like a 'golden parachute', but with no strings attached!

Mark Francois, the Conservative spokesman on Europe, said the details of the ex-commissioner's pay-off would annoy UK voters.

I do hope the Conservatives are not too surprised by this. Any official on EU laid down expenses, from Welsh Assembly members to EU Commissioners (past and present) is having a fine life paid for by the tax payers.

This greedy little pig should not be allowed to keep his snout in the trough once he RESIGNED to go to another job. This whole european thing is really starting to annoy the hell out of me and continues to enforce my view that we should only have a trade agreement with the EU and nothing else bunch of parasites feeding off all the people of europe and as we have seen completely incapable of reacting to problems in a way that benefits the whole of europe as they are supposed too. Yet another failed political experiment and time for it to be laid to rest.

Re: Mandelson and the EU gravy train.....
What gets me more than anything is the hypocrisy. These people condemn the way in which private companies are too often seen to reward ineptitude, negligence, rule breaking or just plain and simple failure amongst their executives with bonuses, huge pensions etc. etc. etc. yet are all too happy to act in the very same way, only at the taxpayers expense.

Re: Mandelson and the EU gravy train.....
Why him and why now?
There has to be a political reason to bring him back into the frame at this time. What is the motivation here and what are they trying to hide?
