The wrong type of ......... ??

Well we've all heard of 'the wrong type of snow' but now there's another contender for the most ridiculous excuse of all time (apart from New Labour that is ) - the wrong type of heart attack!

Staggering!

Re: The wrong type of ......... ??

Given the above, anyone at potential risk of heart problems (an awful lot of folk sadly) might wish to carefully check the insurance cover being offered by companies before signing up.

Makes you but these days everyone is trying to wriggle out of their commitments and given the government we have i suppose they are only following the governments example.

Re: The wrong type of ......... ??

Er, the 'wrong type of snow' was actually a perfectly accurate description of the problem. It's attitudes like this that mean organisations now forbid employees from talking to the press and hide between PR spin and waffle rather than allowing people to express themselves accurately. Just a pet hate of mine.

In this case it's unsurprising that an insurance company would do anything in its power to avoid paying out, that's what they do to preserve profits. One way is to have strict definitions of the circumstances when paying out happens. However, in this case they seem to have ballsed up quite badly, since it must have cost them more than £130k in total to fight and then pay out. It would be nice if they learned from it...

That's as may be but it was still a pretty poor excuse for an inexcusable situation. In respect of the insurance company's policy, the same has thankfully now been proved to be the case.
