She was a very quiet neighbour...

Quote:
THE remains of a woman have been found sitting in front of her TV - 42 years after she was reported missing
.
Croatian police said she was last seen by neighbours in 1966, when she would have been 42 years old.

Claims she died of shock after England were given their third goal have been strongly denied

Sorry, if that's considered bad taste, but couldn't resist it...

Ah, you see, if they had TV licences in Yugoslavia, they'd have smashed their way in years ago...

Re: She was a very quiet neighbour...
It's hard to imagine that all the things i've been through and done in my life, there's been a woman sat dead in her chair for most of it without anyone knowing.
There must be others out there like her that we know nothing about, yet.

In a Communist country, like it was until 1991? Followed by a brief period of something very like Fascism, actually. Given that it's perhaps not totally surprising establishing ownership took a while.

In UK law bailiffs are also used to take possession of property not only debt recovery

Re: She was a very quiet neighbour...
The thing is how did anyone know to report her as missing if no one had been to the house to see if she was there?
