At the end of the day we all rub along pretty well in Britain, whatever our beliefs.

One thing I'm a bit confused on, perhap a passing non-believer can help me with it.
Surely the message that the Archie gave can only be a positive one. One of tolerance and respect?
He did not say (or even imply) that we should treat you with distrust and distain.

You would wheel out the same tired phrases and googled questions regardless of my answering you. I have never been one to waste peoples time, least of all my own. As a result I no longer answer your recurring points but I sure will post to redress your inaccuracies.

At no point have I said you were wrong to worship your diety, nor that he doesn't exist, nor that the events in your scriptures didn't happen.
All I have done is ask for clarification of things and put my thoughts and understanding forward. You didn't like it, you weren't able to correct me (because the evidence is clear), so you turned to belittling it, claiming things were taken out of context when they clearly were not, claiming I'm attacking your beliefs, I've got a vendetta against religion, deflecting in any way possible the discussion from awkward questions.
I've put forward in context scripture and asked peoples opinion on it with regards to my take on it.
It's not something which is mentioned much in church is it? When was the last time your local vicar gave a talk on how slaughtering babies is a sign of love?

I still have my beliefs but I have no trust in organisations and I found the life to hard. I still believe in a lot of what I was taught yes.

I totally understand and empathize with you .

No, his is the voice of one man, not of Christianity.

Having quickly skimmed through this thread this is probably the best opinion I have read. The truth is that whether we believe in religion or not, most of the members / posters on this forum/thread have a well rounded/balanced set of morals and ethics, which is the most important thing isnt it. That makes us all decent, and whether we've derived these from Jesus, Muhammed, the Xbox or whatever, who cares. No one is going to accept each others beliefs, the thread goes round in circles and everyone just wants to score some brownie points over each other. Is it really worth it?

Im sorry dude but propaganda needs an audience the only people likely to be the audience are Christians so really what does it matter? what difference does your response on a forum make ? except maybe making you feel a little better for venting anger and something that shouldn't really be that important to you

No he implied (nay stated) that God was active in our lives, which is the point I objected to.
You're becoming rather patronising yourself with that statement Russ, & disingenuous...

Nothing wrong with encouraging religious people to show respect to non-religious people, goodness knows over the years there's been very little shown, but he then went on to make (and I do not believe it even crossed his mind that it would be) a patronising remark.
As I said before, if I told you that I'm going to send my imaginary friend Drop-dead-fred round to give you moral support throughout your lifetime, would you think that I actually give much of a damn about you?

Well firstly I have no vicar in my church -with the amount of research you do on religious matters I'd have thought you'd get that much right.
Anyway just to correct a few points, I would answer your points however you would routinely fail to accept my responses and simply repeat them. If you have no intentions of accepting answers why should I (or any of the others) waste our time? For almost 2 years the signature you used was incorrect and despite my offers to correct it, you chose to keep it.
Kind of gives the impression that regardless of the answers I give, you will keep your view. That's fine if that's how you work but then please don't complain when we give up on answering you.
