I couldn't care less what does or does not make the BNP racist but we could certainly cut down their ammunition by cutting out any race specific groups. At the end of the day people face similar problems whatever colour they happen to be so having groups setup for the problem not the race seems to me to be far more effective. In the UK these days we are so obsessed with appearing to be inclusive that we go about helping people in a stupid way people want a solution to a problem they don't care about race so like i said address the problem by problem not by race group that it may or may not be affecting at any given time.

The problem is the idiots who believe that only certain races can be members of certain religions, and that people of certain ethnic background don't have different issues to people of other ethnic backgrounds.
The BNP and it's followers have suggested things like the Black Police group is racist, despite being set up to support victims of racism and help educate everyone as to why integration within the police force is important.

I personally think that Schools should provide help regardless of Race, Colour or Creed.

Yes, there are situations where having teachers of a certain colour is best as racism exists in ALL races. Let me give an example. If you have two white racist kids who you want to stop, who are they more likely to listen to? A Black Guy or a White one?

Generally, however, race should not be an issue.

Did you follow up on the first post about Eastside young leaders academy. It's for Black boys only. http://www.eyla.org.uk/theneed.htm Have a google for black organisations. You will find hundreds. Most have the word "Black" in them, which IMO pretty much excludes everyone else. Here's a small sample:-

Personally, I can't see anything wrong with any of these names In fact, I don't think that any of them are any worse (or better) than 'the British National Party' (obviously ignoring the face that many non-white members of society are also British, but there you go...)

It's a hard issue but you should remember that many of these groups are designed to overcome perceived discrimination. It's not been that long since those racial issues should have been removed so it may continue.

In my Uni there are African/Asian groups whos intent is to carry on with their culture and share the intreats in the music, art and food of those cultures, the stuff they had back home. The reason there is not a British one is because this is britain

Sigh! I just wonder where this everybody who is white is superior tosh actually came from?Who was the pillock who woke up one day and decided that anyone with a different colour skin was evil and not actually human?

After all there were times in this country when people of colour were not so regarded.They were rare but not despised.

I guess it was when we as a country got into slavery as a trade..However we actually managed to grow up over that issue.Why is it that people keep dragging us back to the 17th and 18th centuries attitudes?

I remember as a child that the children of other white colonists were so awful to the Nigerians.My father wouldn't allow that sort of attitude though because he actually was interested in the people he was treating and inoculating for disease as people.So it is a learned behaviour in my opinion.Parents are teaching their children these attitudes.

Coggy shame on you, didn't you know it's because blacks, browns and yellows are taking our houses and jobs? And that the most evil race, the Muslims, are having their way of life forced on us? They all have more rights than us, they are legally entitled to entire your house and take it over, and you are clearly racist if you try to stop them.

The only people taking my job are unqualified staff and I lay the blame for that firmly at the feet of Tony Blair.. and the best teacher I've met was a South African who was hounded out of the job even though she was getting excellent results from children at the lower end of the ability range.

Growing up in Mozambique was pretty similar. The majority of white/asian portuguese and the asians from India treated the blacks extremely badly. Our household was one where our black workers joined us at dinner, my dad actually listened to their opinions and paid them decent wages.

I think you have hit the nail on the head when you say parents are teaching children such attitudes. When you hear a seven year old swearing or calling an asian/black person (and even the other way round) an effiing this and that, then that behaviour in the majority of cases is picked up from home.

Kids tend to learn their respect from what goes on at home, and its such a shame that nowadays most of what a lot of kids are learning at home is extremely poor.

Funnily enough, one of my friends (a proud Scotsman, even though he has lived in England for most of his life) is marrying a Turkish Muslim. They've apparently decided that if/when they have kids, they will bring them up to respect both parts of their ancestry.

Replace the word 'black' with 'white' in that list and see what would happen. We would never get away with it would we?
Personally i am sick of the double standards in this country. Being and average, hard working, tax paying, law abiding white man means you get **** on!
