From here.
Well you said the Police don't bother going after drug dealers as they didn't make money from them. Those links were a selection of drugs busts in the last week.
That was a 3 minute google search, I'm sure there were lots more that didn't make the news.

Ok I'll say this very slowly and carefully so you can understand it.
The Police (thats the people who you claim to never see, and when you do they are breaking the law. They sometimes wear hats)
Have rules, that they MUST follow.
When putting in CCTV cameras.
Even covert cameras (thats the hidden ones)
Have rules about where and when they can be used.
Clear?

Well, I'm afraid I was fined & got 3 points for doing 34mph on the A5 in Llangollen...
Maybe I should appeal, but it was over 2 years ago!

Why would you appeal anyway, you were caught speeding? Its this attitude of drivers that really annoy me.

Re: The law is an horse!
trev, have you ever wondered why Derek S might know a lot about the police, and what rules they follow, and why his input on matters relating the police might be more relevant than yours?

Im sorry to say, but the law states 30mph in a 30 zone is the legal max speed. Its down to Police guidelines wether they give the extra, they can and sometimes will do you for going over the speed limit by 1mph. You can say anything you want, you cant change the law.

He might be in the Police, but I have to say he is wrong on the speed issue. You can and sometimes will be done for going over the limit by 1mph. The speed limit is a law we have to abide by, the guidelines that state 35mph are just guidelines and do not have to be followed.

Re: The law is an horse!
i dont think speed cameras should have to be visible, but if they are going to hide them, then the drivers should be made aware that this is the case.
it is unfair to say that all cameras have to be highly visible (to deter speeding, not catch speeders) then to hide them for the sole purpose of catching people speeding. its just blatantly lying. yet more underhand tactics from the police.
