I thought Boris's victory speech was very gracious, much more than Ken deserved. I'd have stuffed one of his newts where the sun don't shine and told him to go forth and multiply

Ken's speech was very gracious as well. Also Ken did deserve that speech from Johnson and it's the least he could say.
Ken has a respectable record of achievement, he had been major for 8 years, and working for London for *i think* over 25 years. His speech about after 7/7 and today showed real passion for London, his voice was constantly breaking.
I think he deserves the standing ovation he got, and the testaments made to his service.
