Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...7/nlevy127.xml
Well that's what Lord Levy is claiming apparently. Odd how things like this only seem to surface when a book is imminent...

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
He probably can then, given Blair's track record on accuracy.

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
I don't think Brown is capable of beating anyone at the moment. I don't think he'll even be in the next elections.

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
If you wander past westminster these days two sounds emanate from parliament first is this dull scraping sound as the knives get sharpened the second is a low mumble of "gordon has to go before i lose my seat". As things stand right now mr blobby could give GB a run for his money. Personally i think it is just desserts and will hopefully show others that plotting and scheming doesn't always work out for you.

Blair believed Cameron had major strengths - political timing, a winning personality and a natural ability to communicate to Middle England that Gordon would be unable ever to match.
|
But not formulating policies to win over the electorate apparently. Shame that, it would make all the difference. Could it be that Blair and Levy think nothing will really change if Cameron is elected, and therefore they can afford to lose Brown?

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
This is the trouble with parties not having an election for a leader (and this has nothing to do with having a general election to change a party leader either as only party members (by one means or another) have a say in who their party leader is (or in this case no choice)).

Can't have that. It's far too democratic.
*But to be fair, didn't Tory members choose Cameron?

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
LOL Yeah Gordy is the Steve McLaren of politics - zero charisma and leadership qualities to match.

Re: Bliar: Brown can't defeat Cameron
Frankly I can't stand any of them..Cameron will be no better and could even be worse because it will probably be 'New Tory' on offer.

Nobody could be worse than Brown. As for the rest well at the very least they deserve a chance. We know one thing and that is that New/Old/NearlyNew/SameOld Labour is as bankrupt of ideas as the Exchequer is of funds.
